What to expect from your experience
So what’s involved in the experience? Here we’ll talk you through each step of the process for ultimate peace-of-mind, and you’ll see just how accessible this adventure really is!
Check-in
The first step of any Zip World adventure; arrive half an hour before your adventure start-time to check-in at reception and settle in.
Kit-up
Once checked-in, you’ll take a very short walk over to the Plummet kit-up area, where an instructor will fit you into your harness and helmet and give you that all-important safety briefing.
Embarking
You will then be shown into the participants-only Skyride compound, where you will take your seat on the swing and strap in. You will, of course, be given a safety briefing, and all there is to do now is simply sit back, relax, and let the adventure unfold!
Here we go!
Where the real adventure begins; you’ll now be slowly hoisted backwards, 24m in the air, whilst the anticipation builds and the ground gets further and further away. If you dare open your eyes, you will see the beautiful, serene view of the Conwy Valley straight ahead.
Release
Once you’ve reached the top, a brave member of your group must pull the release cord, which will send you soaring at speed through the air! This is a truly adrenaline-inducing experience which will be sure to get that heart racing. You will swing back and forth until the swing comes to a natural stop.
Disembark
An instructor will then let you off the swing, and once you’ve found your feet you can grab your footage and explore the rest of Zip World Betws-y-Coed to your heart’s content! Head to the Fforest Caffi for a yummy bite to eat, enjoy the sites and sounds of this stunning location, or even try your hand at another woodland adventure!

When should I arrive?
You will need to arrive on site ready to check in for your experience 30 minutes prior to your adventure start time.
What should I wear?
You will need to wear warm comfortable clothing suitable to the weather on the day, with walking boots or trainers. Some of our experiences require your arms and legs to be covered, please check individual adventure restrictions to see if this applies to you.
Can I protect my booking if I need to make any last-minute changes?
Yes, you can purchase ticket protection insurance at check-out which will allow you the flexibility to make a last-minute change or cancellation.
Can I book over the phone?
It is quicker to book online, but you’re welcome to call us if you’d prefer; please do so on 01248 601 444. Please note there may be a wait time on the phone, particularly during busy periods.
When are you open?
We are open all year round except Christmas day and Boxing Day. During off-peak seasons, please visit our checkout to see our booking calendar and our opening days. Each site has different opening times and days so please check our website.

Do I need to book in advance or can I just turn up?
We’d always recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. If you turn up without a booking, we will do our best to fit you in, but cannot guarantee this. Please be sure to book in advance if you’re travelling a distance to visit us.
