What to expect from your experience

So what’s involved in the experience? Here we’ll talk you through each step of the process for ultimate peace-of-mind, and you’ll see just how accessible this adventure really is!

Check-in

The first step of any Zip World adventure; arrive half an hour before your adventure start-time to check-in at reception and settle in.

Tree Hoppers 9

Kit-up

Once checked-in, you’ll take a very short walk over to the Tree Hoppers kit-up area where your child (and yourself if you’re accompanying an under 8) will be kitted into their harness and helmet by one of our fantastic instructors, as well as receive a safety briefing.

Tree Hoppers 7 1

Training

As part of the experience, the little ones must first undergo a simple training session, just so that they can understand the basics of how to use their harness equipment. The system we use on our treetop adventure courses means that you cannot disconnect from the course at any time, so it’s perfectly safe; the training is to get them used to the experience.

Tree Hoppers145 1

Adventure course 1 and 2

After completing the training course, they’ll then take on the full Tree Hoppers course independently. There are 2 courses in total, and it is entirely up to them if they’d like to complete both.

Tree Hoppers 11

Tackling the obstacles

Reaching heights of up to 7m, they’ll encounter plenty of obstacles such as zip lines and climbing nets which will build their confidence and motor skills! This should take around an hour, depending on how quickly your mini adventurer completes the course.

De-kit

Once they’ve landed both feet back on the ground, an instructor will take off their harness and helmet, and they’re free to explore the rest of Zip World Betws-y-Coed.
