About Tower Coaster

What is the first two-seater roller coaster of its kind in Europe, Tower Coaster will send you racing round the historic Zip World Tower site, reaching speeds of up to 25 mph over more than 1 kilometre of track.

With tunnels, banked corners, dips and peaks, the coaster is an exhilarating way to see Tower Colliery up close – what was once the oldest continuously working deep-coal mine in the UK and with a fascinating story behind it as the only coal mine run by a co-operative of workers in the late nineties and early 2000s.

Three goes on the coaster are included with your ticket and, as you control your speed, you can try to go faster on each run! Being a side-by-side kart, you can take part alongside friends or family, with shared tickets also available for kids between 4 and 8 to ride with an adult. It’s a great day out with 3 adventures in one place, as well as delicious food & drink on offer - ideal if you’re visiting Cardiff, Swansea or the Brecon Beacons, while also being less than 90 minutes from Gloucester and Bristol across the border in England.

Home to Phoenix, Tower Climber and Tower Flyer, Zip World Tower is the 4th Zip World site to open, and is the 1st to be situated in south Wales. Nestled in the Rhigos mountain range, and boasting stunning panoramic views, this adventure hub is situated at the old Tower Colliery coal mining site, and had created a new lease of life for this historic and widely-loved base.
