What to expect from your experience
So what’s involved in the experience? Here we’ll talk you through each step of the process for ultimate peace-of-mind, and you’ll see just how accessible this adventure really is!
Check-in
The first step of any Zip World adventure; arrive half an hour before your adventure start-time to check-in at reception and settle in.
Kit-up
Once checked-in, you’ll take a very short walk to the kit-up area, where a member of our team will kit you up into your harness, goggles and helmet, as well as provide that all-important safety briefing. You’ll also get the chance to grab a headcam here too.
All aboard
From the kit-up area, you head directly outside where the minibus awaits! This will be your lift to the top of the mountain, where the first of the two Phoenix zip lines resides. This journey will take around 10 minutes.
Alpha zip line
Alpha is the first zip zone, and consists of 4 parallel zip lines, each at 920m in length. A Zip World team member will begin with a safety briefing, before connecting you to the zip line. After a 3, 2, 1, the gates will open and you can jump off the platform and into your first flight. Here you’ll feel the pure peace and freedom of soaring over the stunning Llyn Fawr to the backdrop of the Rhigos mountain range at speeds of around 70mph! This is the world’s fastest seated zip line, and definitely the star of the show in terms of speed and views. Once you’ve reached the brakes at the base, a member of the team will unclip you from the zip line.
Short walk
Once you’ve dismounted from Alpha, you’ll take short walk over to the top of Bravo – please note that this is up a few flights of stairs.
Bravo zip line
When clipped into Bravo, you will see the rest of the Tower site below, and will once again step off the edge to send yourself flying at around 50mph! As this zip line is closer to the ground, you get a real sense of ground-rush, especially as you zoom toward the brakes! Once you’ve reached the end, you’ll be unclipped from the zip once more.
De-kit
Lastly you will take a short walk to the de-kit area, which is sign-posted, and a member of our team will take off your harness and point you in the direction of the headcam footage collection point.
