What to expect from your experience

So what’s involved in the experience? Here we’ll talk you through each step of the process for ultimate peace-of-mind, and you’ll see just how accessible this adventure really is!

Rushes Timeline 00 54 21 06 Still015

Check-in

The first step of any Zip World adventure; arrive half an hour before your adventure start-time to check-in at reception and settle in.

Plummet 5

Kit-up

Once checked-in, you’ll take a very short walk over to the Plummet kit-up area, where an instructor will fit you into your harness and helmet and give you that all-important safety briefing.

Plummet 40

The only way is up!

Because Zip World Betws-y-Coed is on a hill, you will already be 50ft up, and will climb the remaining 50ft via spiral steps to the very top of the Plummet tower. These steps are not exposed, but please do be mindful when booking that you will need the ability to climb 50ft of steps.

Plummet 8

Don't look down!

Once you’ve reached the very top of the tower, you will be greeted by an instructor, who will talk you through the process of what will happen and connect you to the safety system. You’ll then step onto the trapdoors, either alone with a friend, and will have a moment up there to soak up the incredible view!

Plummet 23

Get ready to fall!

A second instructor will also cross-check your harness connection. With a 3, 2, 1, the trapdoors will open and you will feel the pure freedom and adrenaline of freefall for a few seconds, before being lowered safely to the ground.

Plummet 39

De-kit

Once you’ve caught your breath and steadied your legs, the instructor will detach you from the Plummet system and point you in the direction of the de-kit area, where you will be removed from your harness and enjoy the post-Plummet high! Here you will also collect your head-cam footage if you opted for the option.
