A new adventure AND a new location joins the Zip World family
Soon you'll be flying high above Rhyl, with the launch of our 20th adventure, Skyflyer. Set on the aptly-named ‘Zip World Rhyl’ site, our coast-side airship, located right next to the famous Pavilion, will be the ultimate sight-seeing adventure, adding a touch of thrill as you elevate 140m in the air and soak up the panoramic views of the stunning North Wales coast and beyond.
What is Skyflyer?
The blimp-like airship is the latest ground-breaking innovation in the arena of adventure activity attractions, being the first of its kind in the world. Skyflyer is an epic balloon ride of far-reaching proportions - riders will enjoy a flight experience onboard the airship, propelled 140m in the air, where visitors will be met by breath-taking panoramic 360° views. Reaching from Moel Famau, to the Great Orme in Llandudno, all the way to Liverpool on a clear day, this experience is one not to be missed for couples, families, day-trippers and holiday-makers in the area.
Who can do Skyflyer?
While our other adventures are high-octane, Skyflyer will be a chance for people of all ages and abilities to sit back and enjoy the views from above. Each ride will last around 15 minutes, so plenty of chance to take pictures and soak up the sights as you hover above the Pavilion. This adventure is accessible to all, with the gondola set on a 15m platform below the balloon, which can cater for wheel-chair users and other disability-support equipment. Skyflyer also promises to be a favourite for all ages - from younger than 1 and older than 101.
When's it open?
Skyflyer will be open from the 6th July 2022, but tickets are available to book now.
What else is on site?
This experience will be joined on-site by Big Red, a mini zip line perfect for families. With plenty of parking nearby, and a plethora of shops, entertainment and food and beverage outlets in Rhyl itself, this is the perfect way to lose a couple of hours, whether visitors are local or from afar. We'd highly recommend checking out the 1891 restaurant, which is located at the Pavilion, directly next to Skyflyer,
How much does it cost?
Tickets are £20 off-peak, and £25 peak. Children under 3 go free.
