Things to do with the kids this February half term

We have you covered at Zip World every day over half term with plenty of options for multiple ages across multiple UK sites! We have adventures in North Wales, the North-West and South Wales.

Let’s take a look at our family-favourite activities at each site; but hurry to book before you miss out!

ZIP WORLD BETWS-Y-COED, NORTH WALES

A firm favourite with a selection of family-friendly adventures, including the UK’s only Alpine coaster of its kind, the Fforest Coaster, the award-winning Zip World Betws-y-Coed is well-loved by all ages. Tackle the treetops in any way you see fit, whether it’s on our high-ropes adventure course for kids, Tree Hoppers, our bouncy net adventure, Treetop Nets, or gliding along the exhilarating Fforest Coaster amongst the trees.

ZIP WORLD MANCHESTER, GREATER MANCHESTER

The ultimate treetop adventure site, at Zip World Manchester you’ll find Mini Trek, a high ropes course for little adventurers, plus Treetop Nets similar to those at Zip World Betws-y-Coed. Conveniently located in Heaton Park and close to loads of cafes, you could easily lose an afternoon here with the kids.

ZIP WORLD LLECHWEDD, NORTH WALES

A slightly more weather-proof option, Zip World Llechwedd is aimed at slightly older kids and adults. Test your nerve on the Titan seated zip line which will see you and the family soaring along the Llechwedd quarry at high speed, or take it underground and jump around in a cave on Bounce Below. If you like to keep your feet firmly on the ground, Underground Golf is a fun and immersive adventure golf experience like no other.

ZIP WORLD TOWER, SOUTH WALES

With a mini-zip experience, Tower Flyer, and a junior course on our giant climbing frame, Tower Climber, the kids are sure to burn lots of energy on this site! Located at the iconic former Tower Colliery coal mine, this site has been regenerated to a family-friendly adventure park. Older kids may even want to try Phoenix, the world’s fastest seated zip line, which flies directly over the gorgeous Llyn Fawr.

ZIP WORLD WINDERMERE, LAKE DISTRICT

The treetop adventure location of dreams, we have yet another stunning and exciting adventure selection at Zip World Windermere; a Mini Trek high ropes course for kids, and the popular Treetop Nets bouncy net adventure. At Zip World Windermere you can also conquer the triple zip experience, which sees you dismount near the shores of the iconic Lake Windermere. As far as idyllic locations goes, this one’s up there and isn’t one to be missed!

ZIP WORLD PENRHYN QUARRY, NORTH WALES

Another one of our sites tailored a tad more to older kids and adults, but still a great family day out nonetheless! Kids from around ages 3+ (this is a guideline, please see the webpage for weight restrictions) can try their hand at the Quarry Flyer mini zip line. Older kids and adults might want to get their blood pumping instead on Aero Explorer, our zip-coaster hybrid, or Velocity of course, the world’s fastest zip line. Let’s not forget Quarry Karts, the UK’s only mountain karting track for older teenagers and adults!
