It’s back! The UK’s only 2-seater coaster of its kind, Tower Coaster, has re-opened for spring/summer 2024 at Zip World Tower.
With the rainy season behind us, it’s now time to look forward to the re-opening of our iconic Tower Coaster adventure at Zip World Tower, Aberdare, just in time for May bank holiday 2024!
This much-loved adventure will see you twisting and turning along the famous former-coal mine, Tower Colliery, alongside 3 other epic adventures – the world’s fastest seated zip line, Phoenix, the UK’s largest adventure course of its kind, Tower Climber, and a mini zipping experience, the Tower Flyer.
WHAT IS THE TOWER COASTER?
The Tower Coaster is the UK’s only 2-seater electric coaster of its kind. This adventure weaves along 1km of track, and always stays close to the ground so you experience the thrill of a ground-rush. Darting through tunnels and speeding past historical structures at speeds of up to 25mph, the Tower Coaster will take you on an exciting journey which blends old and new. The built-in lever also means you can control the speed of your cart, making this an excellent family-friendly adventure too.
You get 3 rides per ticket on this adventure, which will take around an hour or so to complete.
WHO'S IT FOR?
Anyone and everyone can enjoy the Tower Coaster adventure, from family groups to hen dos. Ages 4-8 must be accompanied in their cart by someone aged 8+; adults can also share a cart as longs as the combined weight does not exceed 170kg.
Spectators are also welcome, and can wait nearby with a clear view of most of the track to take pictures and videos. They may also head up to the very top of the Tower Climber, where there is a viewing deck with a brilliant view of the entire site.
WHEN'S IT OPEN
Tower Coasteris open now every weekend in spring/ summer 2024, and will open daily during school holidays. Please check opening times in advance on the Zip World website before arriving on-site.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Tower Coaster tickets start from just £15, and there are a selection of tickets to choose from, based on your group size and ages of participants.
