Ffear Fforest, Zip World Betws-y-Coed
11th October – 3rd November 2024
Woodlands at night are scary enough but we have ramped up the fear-factor for Halloween 2024 with Ffear Fforest, our horrifying Halloween experience! Join us for nights of frantic fun at our Zip World Betws-y-Coed site nestled amongst an eerie Welsh woodland, across the month of October. The frights start as soon as you enter the carpark with hordes of demonic clowns patrolling. Remember to keep your doors locked if you don’t want an unwelcome visitor! Our tormented clowns will be following you at every corner so watch out as they try to chase you down for the entire evening.
This terrorising experience also includes access to some of our most iconic adventures at our Betws-y-Coed site including the Cursed Coaster and The Nets, which have had a haunted twist. If you want to make the most of your experience, you can upgrade to ‘Nightfall’ and ‘Screamride’, our spooky versions of the popular Plummet and Skyride. This year we are welcoming the addition of the ‘Spectator Night Pass’, this allows you to join in the Halloween spirit and get up close and personal with the clowns but keep your feet on the ground by not taking part in the adventures.
Included in the Night Pass
Cursed Coaster
Britain’s only alpine coaster of its kind gets a spooky makeover during the Halloween season. Strap in on your own, if you dare, or embark on a terrifying 300m+ ascent with a friend or family member through the silent trees, before racing back down at speeds of up to 25mph! Weave and dart back down 700m+ worth of track as you navigate through the darkness. With just a mere headlight to guide the way, as you descend you are in control of the speed as you bravely take on this toboggan-style ride.
The Nets
Your Night Pass will also give you all-night access to our bouncy, trampoline-style nets, suspended high in the trees. The Nets feature slides, walkways and lookout decks all overrun by scary clowns who are watching and waiting around any corner. You will have to run, jump and hide from our hideous clowns or encounter a clown waiting for you on the walkways…
Frightful optional extras…
Nightfall
Stand atop of a huge 100ft tower on trapdoors, before that nail-biting moment of being dropped into the darkness – experience the true feeling of freefall. This is a favourite amongst the fearless who want to experience the drop on their own or pair up with a friend or family member to share in the dread.
Screamride
One of Europe’s largest swings will have your screaming for sure! Escape the clowns on the ground and take a ride on our five-seater swing that will give you the pure feeling of g-force.
Hold your breath as you are raised 24m into the air before having to find the courage to tug on the cord that will send you soaring into the mist and sprawling darkness of the Conwy Valley. After your flight, you will be lowered back into the clown-infested woods.
New for 2024: Spectator Night Pass
This year, we have introduced the Spectator Night Pass. This pass allows you to attend the experience and soak up the Halloween spirit. If you are not into rides or just want to watch the carnage unfold for a friend or your children, then this is the pass for you. If you change your mind last minute and want to take part on an adventure, head to reception to speak to our team.
How much?
The Night Pass starts from £28.00 per person and includes unlimited access to get up close and personal with all our notorious clowns. It also includes:
Two rides on the Cursed Coaster
Access to The Nets all evening
