Brace yourself! Here's what to expect...

Ffear Fforest is North Wales’ favourite Halloween spook-fest, and for very good reason! The peaceful woodland by day is transforming into an unnerving circus-themed extravaganza by night. Expect to come face to face with a hoard of undead clowns, ready to terrorize and torment you the second you enter the Ffear Fforest threshold, until the second you manage to escape. Don’t forget to check your back seats before you set off…

If that isn’t enough to send jitters down your spine, you’ll also get the rare opportunity to conquer our frightful adventures by night. Unlike your ordinary Halloween event, Ffear Fforest takes things a step further, by giving our world-class adventures a twisted makeover and offering brave adventurers the chance to put their courage to the ultimate test.

The frightening fun doesn’t stop there! We’ll also be bringing an epic paintballing experience to the depths of the woods, brand-new to 2023. Go head-to-head against your friends and family, but don’t let those menacing clowns put you off as you shoot and aim at the targets. Plus, we’ll be serving up plenty of twisted treats and refreshments for you to sink your teeth into from our cafe and NEW terrifying Tipi.

The adventures available are... 

Cursed Coaster

The UK’s only alpine coaster of its kind gets a macabre makeover as the sun goes down… Buckle up with a friend in your coaster cart, or brave it alone, as you crawl up 700m of woodland track, and fly back down at speed. With two goes included in your Night Pass, weave and dart through the trees as malicious eyes watch you from the distance and the sounds of evil cackles get louder as you approach the end. With just a mere headlight to guide the way, you’re in control of the speed as you bravely conquer this intimidating toboggan-style ride.

The Nets

Brace yourself, Night Passes will give you all-night access to The Nets. Woven within the towering trees, navigate your way through this bouncy, unpredictable netted maze. Will you end up trapped by the clowns, or will you run for your life along Europe’s longest net walkway? You can run, jump and slide, but you certainly can’t hide from what could be hiding within this disturbing netted hell.

Nightfall

Is there anything crazier than dropping 100ft through a trapdoor? How about dropping through a 100ft in the dead of night? A favourite amongst the fearless, take on the stomach-churning Nightfall, where you and a friend (or go alone if you dare) will anxiously wait until the trapdoor sweeps open under your trembling feet, plummeting you to the floor as your heart drops into your stomach. 

Screamride

If you’re eager to escape the clowns for a while, come take a seat on one of Europe’s largest swings, and take a moment to catch your breath as you’re raised 24m into the sky. But don’t be fooled, this is the calm before the storm… A daring member of your group will then tug the cord and send you soaring into the mist of the piercing night sky. This stomach-wrenching adventure is a distressing, adrenaline-fuelled adventure suitable for up to 5 clown hunters at a time.

BRAND NEW FOR 2023: The Paintball Range

Brand new to 2023, are you ready to put your survival skills to the ultimate test? Ffear Fforest’s carnival-themed Paintball Range will give skilled clown hunters the chance to practice their long-range shooting, as you splatter the targets whilst they pop up and down. With 100 pellets included, plus the option to add more if needed, will you master the headshot and come out on top, or will you endure the humiliating giggles from the clowns hiding in the shadows?

Night Passes start from £33 and include unlimited access to the clown-infested adventure; The Nets, as well as two rides on the notorious Cursed Coaster. Explore the unnerving woodland as you escape the evil clowns who’ll be watching your every move, and if all that isn’t enough to make your blood curdle, why not add an optional extra such as Nightfall, Screamride or our brand-new Paintball Range, to make your evening the ultimate night of fright.

When and where?

The spooking with commence on the 12th of October, up until the 1st of November. 7:30 PM-10:30 PM.

Located at the famous Zip World Betws-y-Coed site, this spooky adventure hub is just over an hour's drive from Chester and Wrexham. Set in an eerie forestry, this location is ideal for those looking for a Halloween spook-fest with a difference.

Who’s it for?

Beware! Ffear Fforest is not for the faint-hearted, we advise that visitors must be at least 9+ and please be aware that usual adventure restrictions apply.
