Not your typical mini golf…

Zip World Llechwedd’s Underground Golf will send you deep underground to an old slate mine, where an unreal 4 storey adventure golf course awaits. Restrictions

Before booking this adventure, please carefully review the following restrictions to ensure you and your party meet the minimum participation requirements. Any participant under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over, and in most cases, an adult must take part in the group unless stated otherwise.

Supervision for under 18’s

1 participating adult 18 yrs+ is required for every 5 children <18 yrs

Walking Ability

Due to the nature of this adventure, everyone must be able to walk and be physically fit. Babe in arms are not permitted

Min Age

You must be at least 3 years old to take part in this adventure

What to expect from your experience

So what’s involved in the experience? Here we’ll talk you through each step of the process for ultimate peace-of-mind, and you’ll see just how accessible this adventure really is!

Check-in

The first step of any Zip World adventure; arrive half an hour before your adventure start-time to check-in at reception and settle in.

Kit-up

Once checked-in, you’ll take a very short walk to the kit-up area, where a member of our team will give you a hard helmet (very important when adventuring in caves and caverns!) and provide that all-important safety briefing.

All aboard

This is where the real fun begins! To reach Underground Golf you must first hop aboard Europe’s steepest cable railway! This iconic yellow train will take you underground in your cosy compartment, on a journey which will last around 90 seconds.

Heading underground

You’ll then alight onto the underground platform and follow a team member through the chambers and tunnels to the main event. Don’t worry, there are no small, enclosed spaces.

The golf

After grabbing your scoresheet, your club and your ball, you’re free to begin your 18-hole journey along the 4 levels, soaking in the fun lights, sounds and interactive elements! Don’t forget to keep score to find out who’s got the best swing! Finish up your experience with the exciting drop slide (optional).

Endgame

Once you’ve perfected your putt and scored plenty of hole-in-ones (we’re sure!), you’ll hop aboard the train once more and ascend to ground-level, where you can officially hang up your hat, and grab a tasty bite to eat in the Llechwedd Caffi (we’d recommend the Caverns Burger!).

We warmly welcome well-behaved dogs at all of our locations, making it the perfect adventure spot for the whole family, including your furry friends. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we require that dogs be accompanied by someone not participating in adventures at all times.

FAQs

When should I arrive?

You will need to arrive on site ready to check in for your experience 30 minutes prior to your adventure start time.

What should I wear?

You will need to wear warm comfortable clothing suitable to the weather on the day, with walking boots or trainers. Some of our experiences require your arms and legs to be covered, please check individual adventure restrictions to see if this applies to you.

Can I protect my booking if I need to make any last-minute changes?

Yes, you can purchase ticket protection insurance at check-out which will allow you the flexibility to make a last-minute change or cancellation.

Can I book over the phone?

It is quicker to book online, but you’re welcome to call us if you’d prefer; please do so on 01248 601 444. Please note there may be a wait time on the phone, particularly during busy periods.

When are you open?

We are open all year round except Christmas day and Boxing Day. During off-peak seasons, please visit our checkout to see our booking calendar and our opening days. Each site has different opening times and days so please check our website.

How do I book?

The easiest way to book is online. Click the red ‘Book Now’ button at the top of the page, and select your adventure, time, date and number of participants.

Do I need to book in advance or can I just turn up?

We’d always recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. If you turn up without a booking, we will do our best to fit you in, but cannot guarantee this. Please be sure to book in advance if you’re travelling a distance to visit us.

I am a content creator and want to work with Zip World

Content creators are welcome to book onto experiences themselves and film using a phone, without any special equipment. This can be done without prior discussion or supervision from the marketing team. If you’re interested in a formal collaboration with us, please get in touch before your visit.
